In early 2006, the original 51-year-old landmark Fontainebleau resort closed its doors and received an extensive renovation and expansion. The renovations restored much of the vision of its original architect, Morris Lapidus, bringing back features such as marble floors and columns and the grand staircase, while creating one of Miami's most stimulating and sizzling interior design treatments.

All of the Fontainebleau resort meeting and conference space was remodeled, and with 1,504 guest rooms, it hosts the largest and most prestigious events in Miami Beach.

The Fontainebleau resort has eleven restaurants and other exciting eateries and late night entertainment venues, as well as upscale retail stores, outdoor pool areas and a luxury spa.
